In Lucknow and gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, Pilot projects for providing free basic education, books, stationary, uniform and mid-day meals are undertaken in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. |

Two primary schools with vocational training to village women are being run and managed by volunteers in villages Babukhera, district Lucknow and Chowri, district Gorakhpur with the help of BPCL. |

Vocational Training and Self-Employment: |
|
A training course of 6 months duration for cutting and sewing was held for 32 girl trainees selected from rural areas under the sponsorship of Human Resource Development Program of Govt. of India. Women in Babukhera villages are being paid stipend by SAMARPAN for running training course for sewing, embroidery and other domestic trades for local residents. The cottage industry products like Havan Samigri, Mustard Oil, Incense Stricks, Yagna kits and chiken embroidery are being marketed by volunteers through outlets in the urban areas. |

Health Service: |
|
Mobile hospital in ambulance managed by volunteers and doctors are regularly visiting 24 villages in rotation. |
|
Regular surveys are being undertaken in rural areas, identifying physically handicapped and critically ill patients. The patients are being periodically brought to Lucknow, examined, operated and provided artificial limbs in collaboration with the Artificial Limb Center, Lucknow, without any charge . |
|
Carrying outdoor surveys in the villages around Lucknow, volunteers are
identifying needy persons for ophthalmology treatment, providing them free transport for cataract operation and lenses, free of cost. |

| Model Village Development: |
 |
Five villages, namely Dedhemau, Saifpur, Dariapar and Tilasua and Purwa in the Malihabad Tehseel of Disrict Lucknow have been selected for development as model villages. Volunteers have laid a 1.5 Km long stretch of brick (Khadanja) road in Dedhemau Village. Mobile vans of SAMARPAN equipped with literature and audio-visual equipment are periodically visiting these villages for carrying out the seven point development program with the help of volunteers. | An Old Age Home at Lucknow: |
 |
A 60 bed Old Age Home named SAMARPAN VARISHTHA JAN PARISAR constructed by Lucknow NAGAR NIGAM, situated at Adil Nagar, Ring Road, Lucknow built on 1600 Sqm. covered area over the total area of 4806 Sqm. in being managed by the volunteers of SAMARPAN. This Old Age Home is provided with a yoga-Meditation Center, Library, Dispensary, Dining hall and round the clock ambulance and 24 hours security. It has furnished 19 double-bedrooms and 3 dormitories. |

| Logistic & Resources: |

| With the exception of the facilities at the Old Age Home, for which a reasonable subscription is required to be paid by its residents, all activities and services renders by SAMARPAN are carried out by voluntary donations of time, talent and personal contribution. All donation to the Samarpan Trust are exempted under 80G of Income Tax(REf No. F.No. T-1/CIT-IT/80G/154/2005-06). |
